"The Legacy Hall"

• Historical Significance: Named after the university’s founder and the "Tiger of Bengal," Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq. As the oldest hall on campus, it embodies the tradition and heritage of the institution since its days as the Bengal Agricultural Institute.

• Key Amenities:
  • Dining & Mess: A large central dining hall providing daily meals for residents.
  • Common Room: Equipped with facilities for indoor games (Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess) and a television.
  • Internet: Reading Room & Common Rooms are covered by the university’s ICT Cell Wi-Fi network.
  • Library & Study: Includes a small internal reading room for quiet study sessions.
  • Garden/Courtyard: Features a central open space often used by students for social gatherings and small-scale sports.

• Administration: Managed by a Provost (currently Md. Abdul Latif) and a team of Assistant Provosts who oversee student welfare and hall discipline.

• Atmosphere: Known for its vibrant student life, it is the primary hub for organizing university-wide celebrations, political discussions, and cultural festivals.
